You never expect a dental emergency but you should prepare for one.

We are available for dental emergencies and are available after hours. We always endeavour to deal with your emergency efficiently and get you comfortable as soon as possible.

The main emergency we deal with is the loss of a tooth:

Tooth Loss

If you have an accident where a tooth is knocked out, contact us as soon as possible. You have under an hour in which to save the tooth.

Handle the tooth by the crown, not the root. Touching the root can damage cells necessary for bone reattachment. Gently rinse the tooth in water to remove dirt. Do not scrub. Place the clean tooth in your mouth between the cheek and the gum to keep it moist.

It is important not to let the tooth dry out. If it is not possible to store the tooth in the mouth of the injured person, wrap the tooth in a clean cloth or gauze and immerse in milk. If you have a dental emergency, we thoroughly recommend you contact us so we can help you.
